Selenium Cross-Browser Testing in UAE

One codebase, four browsers

Your staff are not all on the same browser. Safari on a Mac, Chrome on Windows, Edge on an office machine, Firefox where IT insisted. Selenium lets us run the same test suite against all of them, so a layout or behaviour difference is found before a user finds it.

This matters more than it sounds in the UAE, where mixed devices are normal and nobody wants a phone call reporting that a screen is broken.

How we keep it maintainable

• Page Object Model — screens described once and reused, so a UI change is a single edit rather than a hunt through every test.
• Explicit waits — no arbitrary sleeps, so tests do not pass or fail based on machine speed.
• Grid execution — run across browsers and platforms in parallel, in CI, on every release candidate.
• Screenshots and logs on failure — a failed run tells you what broke, not just that something broke.

Playwright or Selenium?

We use Playwright for new projects because it is faster and easier to keep stable. Selenium still earns its place where an existing suite is large, where a tool only supports WebDriver, or where an unusual browser combination has to be covered. We will tell you which applies to your situation rather than insisting on one answer.
